I don't know anyone who died here, but to walk onto a scene like this has been insane. I don't know how I managed to keep it together, but now that I'm sitting here by myself I can't stop crying. I don't know if it's a good thing I don't know any of them or I feel bad because I don't.

It's not even that they're just dead. Some bodies are so messed up you can't even identify who or what they were. You can smell the bodies and see the pieces scattered here and there, and you're not even sure if they belong to the body they're next to. You hear about this stuff and read about it. You see it in movies, but it is so different when you're at ground zero. I haven't eaten anything since I've gotten here. I know I should, but it's really hard to keep it down.

Sleep isn't my friend either.

I feel so stupid for talking about how I wanted to die. Sure, I don't want to now, but it was just a stupid thing for me to do. I just didn't understand.

If you guessed me, you are so right. Mom's allowed me to actually drive over so I'm going to be making a few choice stops on the way. I'm going to show Lys America the old fashioned way. The way it should be seen! Through the windows of a moving vehicle out on the open road!

That was some crazy Halloween, huh? The dance at school was wild. Yup, I actually attended a school dance this year. I decided to go as a dark fairy. Would’ve been a normal fairy, except I just look so much better in black. Don’t you agree, Rashel? Not as good as you, but you look like you were born to wear it, like all the time. It’s strange after all that’s happened to see people wandering around with fangs and pointy hats now that I know the truth. Anyone else want to talk about this with me?

How was everyone else’s spook night? Did I miss anything interesting, awesome, fun? It sucks being stuck here in Boston when you guys are all out there, though I’m doing my part here the best I can to help out. Let me know if you guys need anything. I’ve actually been looking into talking to normal boys, but…well…it’s just the same after going through something like that. “Oh hi! Last year I was abducted by vampires!” Any single human boys in this circle? Nothing against vampires, but I don’t think I’m up for the growing old while you stay young and hot thing. Maybe a witch? Witches age, right? I’m not being vain or anything, I’m just curious. I only really know stuff about vampires. And don’t even tell me the less I know the safer I’ll be, because I’ve already got a bullseye on me for knowing the Night World exists anyway!
